I had a great time with Katie and Reggie during their downtown Portland engagement session. As you can see they are HOT! And FUN! We had a great time practicing for their big day, and once I saw them in front of my camera I quickly realized they needed no practice, they are naturals! These two are a beautiful, sweet couple with such an infectious spirit! Have a look at their engagement session slideshow, and stay tuned for some of our favorites from their wedding in our next blog post!

Danica and Ian- Urban Studio Wedding

Danica and Ian’s wedding day was truly beautiful! Danica’s suite at The Nines, where I first arrived to document the final touches of the ladies’ preparations for the day, seemed furnished with her aqua and cranberry wedding color palate in mind. Ian’s expression when he met her outside the suite said it all. Danica was a stunning bride. Outside The Nines the bridal party literally stopped traffic! I love the feel from our urban bridal party portrait session. My first opportunity to shoot at Urban Studio was better than I imagined. The stylish, urban venue, coupled with Danica’s fresh and unique touches, were magical and the ceremony was touching. Danica and Ian were made for each other. The reception was a perfect celebration for the newlyweds; the energy and style were contagious. Bright, individually designed cupcakes by Saint Cupcake were as tasty as they were beautiful. I loved each moment of the day. I love my job! To see additional images, have a look at Danica and Ian’s slideshow.

Wine+Love+Snow

Kelsey and Tony are the coolest. They are major wine enthusiasts so when brainstorming the perfect location for their engagement session the answer was quite obvious: one of their favorite vineyards! The scheduled day of the shoot was record-breaking cold, the high being somewhere around 25 degrees. Of course that didn’t stop them. We went ahead as planned and had a BLAST in the snowy vineyards. We started out the shoot with a spectacular flight of wine at Duck Pond Cellars Vineyard, took advantage of the beautiful grounds there then headed over to Sokol Blosser Winery, the geniuses behind my favorite red, Meditrina. We warmed up with another flight then headed out for more photo fun and whimsy! Have I mentioned lately how much I adore my job?
